Deep into the soil this strange object which peek through the top soil lay for quite sometime. I go to dig around and pull the object, but would not budge. Digging some more, I finally was able to find a corner to pull on. Finally able to see it was a shoe, the earth was entwined tightly inside the shoe coming out in carefully made holes from the inside of the shoe. It's beautiful/threatening what mother nature can do.
